If you are a company / entrepreneur and the images are essential for your business (for example displaying them on the web, social networks, in emails, or printing them), it is essential not to neglect the image processing part. If you have one or more employees who specialize in image processing, you won’t need to hire someone else to process the images.
On the other hand, if you do not have specific skills but you have software such as Lightroom or Photoshop, is it wise to process the photos yourself to reduce costs?
As in all areas, owning the tool and having a basic understanding of how it works is not enough to produce professional results.
For example, owning a basketball does not make us a player like Michael Jordan, owning a soccer ball does not make us a player like Lionel Messi, owning a pair of scissors does not make us a hairdresser or a tailor , and owning a keyboard does not make us a musician.
Professionals have studied and acquire skills that the general public or amateurs do not have. They’ve practiced their craft and know the nuances that amateurs don’t. Professionals have improved their working methods to be more efficient and productive. They know what a good photo is.
If the quality of the images is important for your business/area of operation, we do not recommend that you process your photos yourself if you are not an expert, even if you have processing and retouching software.
But if you are an amateur photographer and you have family photos, you can have fun with the software and do the processing yourself.
Do not hesitate to contact me to have your images processed by a professional editor / retoucher.
